Introduction to letting our feelings flow

Last week we focused on our beliefs and behaviours, and the way we can change our mindset in order to improve our sense of wellbeing. It’s very rare that this change will happen instantaneously....it usually takes practice and perseverance to change habits....so please be patient, and keep practicing! We will, inevitably, be faced with unexpected challenges and situations over the coming weeks and months, which may trigger old patterns of behaviour, which in turn may lead to us experiencing uncomfortable emotions. So this week we’re going to focus on how we are feeling.

My feelings have been all over the place during this pandemic; one minute I’m feeling euphoric, the next anxious, and often I’m feeling a kind of raw vulnerability which – if I surrender to it – is actually rather a sweet feeling. Anyway, this week I’m going to do a meditation and activities which I hope will help you to accept that this time is bound to bring up a wide variety of feelings & emotions, and to support you to gently surrender to going with the flow of them....for suffering comes when we hold onto and attach ourselves to our feelings, or judge ourselves for having them!
